Throwback

Happy birthday, USA! Olivia Newton John's "Physical" was #1 on the charts the day I was born, so I thought it was only appropriate for an album cover. I was born in 1981, so to celebrate my year of birth (and America's) , here are songs from albums of that year.

If you hold it up to your ear, you can hear the ocean.

PS: If you insist on doing a pool party instead of a beach party, this song is really all you need. Play it, and you'll have an abundance of food, and girls, and more food...and Mike Taruto will be there.

Pool Party, Bro

I made this mix with the idea that it can be played in the background while you're lying on a chaise lounge hanging out with a few friends, frozen alcoholic beverage in hand. Maybe a dancier song pops up and you do a little dance by the poolside, no bigs. So yeah, my mix is not going to be played in any super rager/PARTY anytime soon. However, if you're looking for a more relaxed beach mix, this is for you. A lot of ~favorites~ and summer jams. Listen to it in this order for MAXIMUM DOPENESS. I hope you enjoy this!

June's Theme: SUPER SUMMER POOL PARTY 2K10!

OK, so, the temperature went up 15 degrees in the last week down here in SoCal, and it's June now. That pretty much means we should all be gearing up for beach bonfires and backyard BBQs.

Basically, I want you to make a mix for your summer shindigs. I should be able to take all our mixes, throw them in one iTunes playlist, and when I hit "play," people in bathing suits should just show up at my apartment. Fun! Summer! Party! Those are your keywords.

Party on, dudes.
